LAUNCH SmartLink is an advanced remote diagnostics platform that connects users of LAUNCH diagnostic devices with qualified experts, anywhere in the world.
Using SmartLink technology, a service technician or end user can remotely connect their device (e.g. X431 PRO5, PRO3 V+ Elite, PAD VII) to a professional operator using SmartLink B or a high-performance device with advanced diagnostics support.

📡 How does SmartLink Remote Diagnostics work?

  1. Connecting the device to the vehicle

    • The user (or mechanic) connects their LAUNCH device to the vehicle via the OBD-II port.

  2. Establishing an internet connection

    • The device must be connected to Wi-Fi or mobile internet.

  3. Starting the SmartLink function

    • In the X431 app, select the “SmartLink Remote Diagnosis” function and send a request to connect with an operator.

  4. Hiring an expert

    • Select an operator based on:
      • Specialization (BMW, VAG, Renault, Mercedes…)
      • Price
      • User rating
      • Location and language
    • The operator receives the request and takes control of the diagnostic process.

  5. Remote operation

    • The technician performs:
      • Reading and clearing faults (DTC)
      • ECU coding

  6. Report and completion
