Depending on your device and licence, an active subscription can provide new vehicle and model-year coverage, new ECU support, updated diagnostic functions, active tests, service functions, coding improvements, bug fixes, compatibility improvements and updated vehicle databases.

Will a software update add new service functions?

It may. Updates can improve or expand supported functions such as Oil Reset, EPB, BMS, SAS Calibration, ABS Bleeding, DPF Regeneration, Injector Coding, TPMS, Throttle Adaptation, Transmission Adaptation, AdBlue/SCR, NOx Reset and other manufacturer-specific functions.

Will renewing the software upgrade my scanner hardware?

No. A software renewal does not change the hardware capabilities or class of your scanner. For example, renewing the software on a basic X431 scanner will not turn it into an X431 PAD VII.

Is Heavy-Duty software included in the standard renewal?

Not necessarily. Heavy-Duty software may require a separate licence or renewal. If you use HDIII, SmartLink HD, SmartLink C HD Lite or another Heavy-Duty configuration, mention this when submitting your request.

Is EV or New-Energy software included?

EV and New-Energy software can require a separate licence from standard passenger-car software. If you use an EV Diagnostic Kit, battery pack diagnostics or high-voltage vehicle software, mention this in the Additional Information field.

Can I request an IMMO software renewal?

Yes. We can check compatible renewal options for supported immobiliser and key-programming platforms, including IMMO Elite, IMMO Plus, X-PROG and related IMMO software packages.

Is SGW / Security Gateway access included?

SGW access may be separate from the normal diagnostic software subscription. If you require access for systems such as FCA/Stellantis, Renault/Dacia, Mercedes-Benz or other secure gateways, mention this in your request so we can check the available option.

What happens when my Launch software subscription expires?

Your scanner and already installed software will usually continue to work, but you will no longer receive new vehicle coverage, new ECU support, new functions, bug fixes or the latest software versions. Some online services may also become limited.

Does the quotation include a new scanner, VCI or cables?

No. This service is for a software renewal quotation only. A diagnostic tablet, VCI, cables and other hardware are not included unless specifically stated in a separate offer.

Am I obligated to buy after receiving the quotation?

No. There is no obligation to purchase. We check your device, prepare the best available renewal offer and send it to you by email. You can then decide whether you want to proceed with the purchase.
